Together, we can make a difference
Honoring Zach and his love of golf to help raise money for those fighting addiction
After long and careful consideration, it saddens me to announce that we have decided to cancel the 2nd Annual Zach Lohr Memorial Scramble that was scheduled to be held on Sept. 5. I’m certain you can guess COVID‐19 is the main reason it’s being cancelled. There are just too many variables for us to move forward. Even if there is not a spike in COVID‐19 cases this summer that would cause the govt. to prohibit such an event, there are too many possible restrictions that could come into play that would cause serious logistical and time related problems for the scramble. The other issue that influenced our decision to cancel is that many people and businesses have been financially hurt by COVID‐ 19. People have lost their jobs, don’t know if they will get called back from furlough, or are concerned they will not have a job for long. Many small businesses are struggling and/or uneasy about the immediate future. Stephanie, Ashley, Alex, or I don’t want any of Zach’s friends, our friends, or the kind people who have touched our hearts to feel obligated to donate or play in the scramble at a time that might be financially difficult for them to do so.
We promise you this. The Zach Lohr Memorial Scramble WILL be back in 2021. We hope your desire to celebrate Zach’s life by playing the game he loved remains strong until we get together again. We are still very committed to making the scramble an annual event for that reason as well as for raising money for Hope United. Until the 2021 scramble comes, if you are in a financial position to do so please consider making a donation to Hope United in Zach’s honor. Please visit www.hopeunited.life for their complete story. Thanks and please check out our Facebook page and leave any comments you might have as we’d love to hear from you.

In celebration of Zach Lohr, an annual Memorial Golf Scramble will take place in his honor. Zach's passion was golf and his love for life was contagious. Let's get together to celebrate Zach's life and his love of the game.
The Mission of Hope United is to bring HOPE to those affected by the drug, alcohol, and suicide epidemics through education and awareness, providing support for families, and helping foster a healthy recovery community. This will be done through the future Tyler's Redemption Place - Ohio's first-ever Relapse Prevention Wellness Center in a campus-type setting that will offer counseling, support, wellness services, and community-focused activities that center on the whole person: mind, body and spirit.
If you would like to contribute, your generous gift will help us help those in need. Together, in honor of Zach, we can make a difference.
